Types of mattresses explained
Open Spring
Single springs held together and in place by wire. Open spring mattresses are the most widely bought and cheapest of the mattresses.
Pocket Spring
Springs are individual kept in their own fabric pocket, allowing each spring to react to your body weight and position separately. These mattresses are perfect for couples as your partner is less likely to feel your movement.
Orthopaedic
Orthopaedic mattresses promote a healthy night’s sleep; it does so by supporting the spine in its correct posture, allowing it to avoid causing pressure points.
Memory Foam
Memory foam mattresses are made up of memory foam and base foam, they have a base foam bottom to support the memory foam, and the top layer of memory foam is visco elastic temperature sensitive memory foam, which adjusts with the temperature to mould to your body.
Latex
There are two types of latex, natural latex and synthetic latex the main difference being natural latex is known for its hypo-allergenic, anti-bacterial, and anti-dust mite qualities, and synthetic latex does not always offer these qualities.
Mattress Toppers
Nearly always memory foam, mattress toppers come in a wide range of depths and are a cheaper option to revitalize your mattress on a cheaper budget.
